EP Sports Psychology is run by Erin Prior CPsychol. who is a Chartered Sport & Exercise Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and PhD researcher at Loughborough University.
Erin supports various key stakeholders within sport and exercise to develop the psychology behind their approach and performance. Through working collaboratively with clients, Erin facilitates their development self-awareness and confidence, alongside key skills related to their role, such as effective communication skills, goal & season planning, enhancing their training, and approach their life and performance in a rational and helpful way. This collaborative work supports people to understand their process and be the best they can be.
Erin continues to work across a variety of sports and organisations alongside studying for her PhD in sport psychology which is focused on athlete mental health and organisational culture. She also lectures part-time at Loughborough University. Erin is a former international athlete for Great Britain in the sport of archery and still enjoys training and competing at national level. She uses this experience as an athlete in both senior and junior sport to inform her practice when working with clients in sport, to empathise with their experiences and work with them to find solutions to their challenges.
When working with clients, Erin empowers them to challenge their mindset to create a more effective way of thinking. In addition, clients are introduced to evidence-based sports psychology techniques to help them optimise their mindset and performance.
